Highlights of the Week
The site redesign is nearly complete. It still may be a few more weeks, but I?m really excited to get it finished. The posting schedule for January is starting to come together, and I?ve been trying to work on a few ideas as to how I can integrate parts of my financial advising business into WorkSaveLive. I haven?t figured it out completely yet, but I am going to test a few things come January. The traffic for the site has also been going out of control which has been a lot of fun to watch. One of my recipes got a lot of likes on Reddit and I had over 1500 visits on Wednesday alone. In addition to that I?ve had a lot of success with SEO lately and have seen tremendous increases in my organic search results.
Today is going to be quite a bit of fun and I?m looking forward to it as it?s my wife?s company?s Christmas party! We?re doing some things for church this morning, but afterwards we?re headed to the Kansas side of Kansas City and checking into our hotel. My wife will be getting her hair done around 4:00 and the party will start at 6:30.
Apparently it gets pretty rowdy and her company spares no expense on the party (which is also the reason we?ve gotten a hotel). There will be (2) 60? TVs with Xboxes for people to play video games, a photo booth, presents for everybody (employees and their spouses), fine dining, and an open bar. Needless to say, I have a feeling it will be a rather good time.
Other than that, my life has been fairly low-key. I hope all is well with you! Do you have any plans for the weekend? What is everybody doing for Christmas (i.e. do you travel to visit family or stay in town)?
